Students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visited the opening of the renovated Intellectual Property Museum at the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations on May 18, 2026, on the occasion of International Museum Day.

Students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visited the opening of the renovated Intellectual Property Museum at the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations on May 18, 2026, on the occasion of International Museum Day.

The students were accompanied by Alla Romashko, a lecturer of the Department of Machine Design at KPI, and Iryna Sydorenko, a specialist of the Department for Scientific and Innovative Support of the Educational Process at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The welcoming speech for the museum’s first visitors was delivered by Olena Orliuk, Director of UKRNOIVI.

During the экскурsion, the students explored the exposition of the Intellectual Property Museum and learned about outstanding Ukrainian inventors and creators of various intellectual property objects. They also took a historical journey back to the late 19th century and discovered some of the very first trademarks of Ukraine as an independent state. In addition, the visitors received information about geographical indications from different regions of Ukraine and immersed themselves in the fascinating world of copyright and related rights.

Representatives of UKRNOIVI emphasized the importance of intellectual property for specialists from various fields of knowledge, as such professionals may contribute in the future to the protection of intellectual property rights in Ukraine.
