Within the framework of international cooperation, the department regularly cooperates with many foreign institutions.

The result of this cooperation was the launch of double degree programs under the auspices of MЕI and the establishment of joint engineering faculties with Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (Germany) and Politechnika Wrocławska (Republic Poland).

This made it possible to expand the exchange of students, perform joint research work, both in the laboratories of MЕI and in the laboratories of partner universities, to defend dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in partner universities with the active participation of teachers.

Currently, the department actively cooperates with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway) in the framework of the international project “Cooperation NTNU-KPI in the field of education in the field of Industry 4.0 CPEA-LT-2017/10047”.

In 2018, the FABLAB KPI laboratory was opened within the project 561536-EPP-1-2015-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP under the European Union’s ERASMUS + Program.
