Scientific school
The scientific activity of a modern research university is based on scientific schools. Only a talented, rich in ideas, hard-working person who has the gift of scientific foresight, able to integrate the efforts of like-minded people, to direct them in fundamentally important directions, can create, lead and lay the foundations for the development of a scientific school for many years. This fully applies to the Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, twice Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Rodin Petro Rodionovich, who created a scientific school of cutting tools, headed it for many years and gave impetus to its further development for many years to come.
Blade cutting tools are an integral part of machine building. The quality and efficiency of cutting tools largely depends on the accuracy of machined parts, productivity and efficiency of the machining process.
